I design andbuild products.

But ask what I've actually made, and the honest answer is mostly people.

Building since before I knew what to call it. Teaching since 2019.

people taught, mentored, trained or reached.

I started teaching in 2019. Not as a plan — someone asked, and I said yes, and then people kept asking.

Five thousand is the count. It is also the least interesting part of it. A number that size is easy to say and almost impossible to feel.

What I remember is smaller. One room. One person who stayed behind to ask the question they were too shy to ask in front of everyone. That is the part worth telling, so it has a page of its own.

A training room while it is actually happening — people looking at screens, someone mid-question. Not a posed group photo.

Wide shot from the back of the room, so the scale of a cohort reads.

03People

People I've hadthe privilegeto teach.

Five thousand is a number. These are the people inside it — where they started, what they went on to build, in their own words where they wanted to say it.

Nobody appears here without their name, their story and their permission.

To add · The people archive

This is the section that matters most, and the one that cannot be written for you. Add each person to src/content/impact.ts — name, programme, year, what they do now, and a quote if they've given one. Each gets a page of their own.

04Speaking

Full-width stage photograph — Kelvin small in the frame, the room large. Let the scale do the talking.

Design, technology, building, and the business of both.

Speaking is teaching with the lights turned up and less time to get to the point.

To add · Talks

Add each talk — title, event, city, year — to the speaking strand in src/content/impact.ts. They'll list here and on the speaking page.

05Volunteering & community

The work with no invoice attached.

Some of what I am proudest of never had a client, a budget or a deadline. It is the clearest test of whether you meant it.

To add · Community work

Add the programmes, workshops and mentorship you've given time to. Dates and organisations only where you can stand behind them.

Products, design work, training programmes, talks, community work and businesses — filed by year and kind, so you can dig rather than scroll.

08Where this goes

Build, teach, help.

I used to think these were three different jobs. They turned out to be the same one, done at different distances.

A product is a way of helping someone you will never meet. A classroom is a way of helping someone you will. Both are the same instinct, and I have stopped trying to separate them.

If you are building something in that direction, I would like to hear about it.
