Three things keep showing up in my work. For a long time I thought they were separate jobs.

I started teaching in 2019. Not as a plan — someone asked, and I said yes, and then people kept asking.
Five thousand is the count. It is also the least interesting part of it. A number that size is easy to say and almost impossible to feel.
What I remember is smaller. One room. One person who stayed behind to ask the question they were too shy to ask in front of everyone. That is the part worth telling, so it has a page of its own.

Five thousand is a number. These are the people inside it — where they started, what they went on to build, in their own words where they wanted to say it.
Nobody appears here without their name, their story and their permission.
This is the section that matters most, and the one that cannot be written for you. Add each person to src/content/impact.ts — name, programme, year, what they do now, and a quote if they've given one. Each gets a page of their own.

Some of what I am proudest of never had a client, a budget or a deadline. It is the clearest test of whether you meant it.

I used to think these were three different jobs. They turned out to be the same one, done at different distances.
A product is a way of helping someone you will never meet. A classroom is a way of helping someone you will. Both are the same instinct, and I have stopped trying to separate them.
